A study by Cisco ensures that within five years 70% of people worldwide have a mobile device.
According to a recent report from Cisco it is expected that by the year 2020 there are about 5,500 million mobile users, representing 70% of the world population in that year will be 7,800 million inhabitants.

The rapid adoption of mobile devices, increased wireless coverage and demand for mobile content drive user growth twice as fast as what will the world population in the next five years, detailing the study.
The report also points out that this wave of users, smart devices, mobile video and 4G networks will increase up to eight times the volume of mobile data traffic in the next five years.
It is predicted that mobile devices will generate 98% of mobile data traffic by 2020. In this regard, smartphones will continue to play a key role, since they account for 81% of mobile traffic in five years, compared to 76% that was built in 2015.
Cisco also emphasizes that mobile video will have a higher growth rate than any other application. Consumer demand and business for high-resolution video, more bandwidth and faster processors will increase the use of 4G devices.
The 4G network will represent over 70% of all mobile traffic, and 4G connections will generate about six times more traffic per month than non 4G connections in 2020.
"Future innovations in cellular and wifi connections 5G and solutions are needed to address the requirements of scale, to solve security problems and meet the demands of the user, which continue to grow," said Doug Webster, Cisco analyst.
